Not French β but Mandarin. π
For some time now, we've heard Clarissa sing in Mandarin, and count in Mandarin.
Other than that she either smiles sheepishly and ignores us or simply responds with a "no" when we deliberately speak to her in complete Mandarin sentences.
Lately she's started voluntarily speaking to me in Mandarin, to repeat and stress her point.
The first instance:
I was sitting on the sofa and she wanted me to get up.
πΆ: Mummy, come up.
I continued to sit on the sofa.
πΆ: Mummy, come up! Walk! (Points at the floor) Mummy, θ΅·ζ₯!
The second instance:
I was trying to make her sleep.
π§: Clarissa, it's time to sleep.
πΆ: Don't want sleep!
π§: It's late. It's time to sleep.
πΆ: I don't want! δΈθ¦!

Is it because she thinks I don't understand English? π
