Partied too much last night and woke up with designer eye bags.
Lights out before 10pm but she only slept at 1130pm.
We took turns going into her room to get her to sleep but she was happily talking and singing away.
It's lunch time now and we are watching the cctv like a hawk because an extremely tired little boss turns into a mini incredible hulk who wants to stay in the bathroom until evening. ππ
We are making some adjustments to her after school routine.
Usually she'd eat a snack and play a bit for around 30-45 minutes before taking a shower. And then she'd get changed, drink milk and sleep.
This actually makes no sense because she'd already have lunch in school just before coming home. I guess our original intention was for her to take a break before taking her shower so why not eat something while at it. π
We realise that because of the 30-45 minutes spent eating (when she's not necessarily hungry), she is even more tired by the time she gets into the bathroom and loses her ability to listen and to reason.
So we asked the helper to simply let her cool down for 10 minutes and go straight to shower, have milk and sleep.
It worked somewhat yesterday but she had to be bribed with bread to get out of the bathroom.
And it was after I gave her a call when they got home to remind her to get out of the bathroom when the water gets cold.
She said ok. π
OK it seems that shower time has gone well this afternoon. ππ
When the going gets tough, the tough goes online shopping.
I was casually Googling for where to buy shoes for the little boss, and saw that zalora actually carries kids shoes!
I wanted to buy her a pair of white sneakers. Chanced upon a very nice, white pair on Pediped but couldn't persuade myself to spend $96 on kids' shoes.
When I saw this pair on zalora, I immediately decided to buy it!
Love it!
Just tried it on her and she looks so stylomilo. π
Something else also arrived today and she was even more excited by it.
Because I told her it's for her to wear to her swimming lesson.
I wanted to get her slippers but didn't want to get her flip flops because I thought it would be difficult for her to walk in slippers.
Saw these on adidas.com and #buybuybuy.
I wasn't sure of the size so I bought 2 pairs in different colors and different sizes.
She's a Size 6K for this adidas pair and Size 7C for the Nike sneakers.
The thing about buying shoes for toddlers is that they can't tell you if they fit. π
So we were trying to feel for her big toe from the outside of the shoes to confirm. ππ
For sandals it was much more obvious. Size 6K fits her with some room.
Compared it with nike size 7C and they are the same size!
So yeah should be ok.
Shoes for the next 6 months before she needs a new pair! β
She insisted on putting them on on her own so.. the left became right and the right became left. π
She invited herself to my lap and lay down like this.
I asked her what she was doing.
She said:
Become baby!
πππ
Glad my day ended on time so I could rush home to spend some time with her before my call tonight.
And then Daddy came home and she insisted on sitting at the dining table with him to have her rice cereals while he had his dinner.
I love little miss manja. π
Not obvious here but she's actually driving us to the zoo. π
