Mother’s Day Celebration

Joined the little one for Mother's Day celebration in school this morning.

Cleared my calendar to do this and I'm glad I did, because it made her so happy.

When her teachers mentioned "it's mother's day today", she wrapped her arms around my neck very lovingly and protectively, and announced to them, "My mummy is HERE! This is my mummy!"

Her Chinese teacher gave this drawing to me.

She told me that Clarissa said she wanted to "draw something for Mummy" yesterday, while all her friends were playing.

So she gave her a piece of paper and crayons, and this is the finished artwork.

My first Mothers' Day present drawn by my little boss.

Imma laminate and keep it.

This is the mother's day gift she made in class with her teachers and photos provided by Daddy.

They asked her what she wanted to say to mummy and wrote it on the card for her.

She told them she wants to say "I love you". πŸ˜πŸ˜—

We took pictures at the photo booth.

This girl was genuinely smiling, lol.

Until θ§η‰™δΈθ§ηœΌ. 😁

Oops too busy to write more.

It was a very simple celebration.

The "performance" involved their teacher playing a song and the kids standing wherever they were standing and dancing/jumping along. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

And then it was either you join the flower arrangement or balloon sculpting sessions or you roam around.

We roamed around.

She held onto my hand very tightly and didn't want to do anything except walk around with me. πŸ˜‚

It was nice in a way, looking at her classroom and some of the thing she says or does when she comes home starts to make sense.

For example, she has been quite obsessed about fire engines and putting out fires and calling 999. πŸ˜‚
That's because there is an entire corner set up for fire engine tucks, water hoses and buildings.

But aye she cried when I left.
Had to come back to work. Too much to do.

Celebrated my dad's birthday and my mom's mother's day.

The little boss was so happy she was talking a lot and singing a lot of random, made-up songs.

She was bummed that her Si-yi couldn't make it tonight.

πŸ‘§: Si-yi has a fever so she can't come.

πŸ‘Ά: Oh why huh?

πŸ‘§: I don't know, maybe she caught a cold?

πŸ‘Ά: Ohhh. Why?

πŸ‘§: I'm not sure.

πŸ‘Ά: Caught a cold like George?

πŸ‘§: Yes I think so.

πŸ‘Ά: Does Gor-gor have a fever?

(Gor-dor is my sister's bf)

πŸ‘§: I don't think so. But he can't come because because he needs to take care of Si-yi.

πŸ‘Ά: Oh. Why uh?
