Woke up, no, jumped up from bed twice this morning because Clarissa shouted for Mummy.
Once at 4ish, and once at 6ish.
She must have been dreaming about the TCM belt (the one we tried to make her put on her tummy) because she whined and said to me, "Don't want the belt!" And went back to sleep holding my hand.
The second time, it was because she has woken up for the day.
The hubs was like, "Can you don't jump up like this?" Lol.
I told him it's just reflex.
She shouts, I jump.
So instead he asked her not to shout next time. ππ€£
Good thing I decided to work from home today because of the 830am call.
It's a day of meetings but at least I'm in my pyjamas. π
I meant to put this down in writing but there had been too many other things on my mind.
Since my mom has been coming a little more frequently these days, Clarissa has started speaking more Chinese. π
To be fair, even before this, we know she understands and can speak Chinese.
Afterall she is able recite 2 Chinese storybooks back to back, word for word, since some time ago. We are now on the 3rd book.
My sister took a video; I'll find time to post!
However other than that, she doesn't speak much Chinese.
When we try to speak to her in Chinese, she'd smile and ask us, "Hey why you speak Chinese huh?"
Half the time when my mum speaks to her she'd respond in English.
But if my mum insists she responds in Chinese, she'll respond accordingly.
Very simple words like "ε₯½ε"π, "δΈθ¦", "θ°’θ°’".
Last night, after she finished her dinner, she said to me, "ζθ¦ζ°΄η¦."
I wasn't quite sure what she was trying to say so i asked her again.
"ζ°΄η¦!" She said again, smiling shyly and pointing at.. her water bottle.

But Hokkien Chinese accent in baby voice is very cute lah. ππ
I didn't manage to pick her up from school today because of work.
But I managed to greet her when she got back and she ran towards me happily.
She asked me a string of questions.
"Mummy, do you still have meeting?"
"Mummy, have you finished your work?"
"Do you want play with me?"
"Can I play on my own in the study room?"

What a sweetheart.
She really played on her own and later on with Ah-ah while I continued working.
Her Si-yi and Gor-gor bought her Daddy and Mummy Pig to complete the Peppa family and she was so happy.
But Si-yi is still sick. π€’
Hope she feels better soon!
She pooped twice this evening.
Small one before dinner and big one after dinner.
Both times, she could tell me the size of her poop accurately. π
"Small one only!"
"This is big!"
I also discovered her new Chinese speaking abilities today.
1. She could recite the national anthem in Chinese! In her baby Hokkien Chinese accent no less.
2. This one's epic.
I usually sit on the threshold of the bathroom door to wipe her bum before washing her up.
Age and chronic back pain usually cause me to let out a low sigh uncontrollably when my butt lands on the threshold.
So for the second time today, I sighed as I sat down to prepare to clean her up.
She smiled at me cheekily and exclaimed:
倧ε±θ‘!
Hahahahahaha wtf.
I couldn't believe what I heard so I asked her, "What did you just say?"
She grinned mischievously again and repeated very quickly in a different (but still cheeky) tone, "倧ε±θ‘!"
Thanks darling.
I slog so hard, bend up and down and do all the back-defying moves.. and you show your appreciation by telling me I have a big butt?! πππ
Should I be concerned? πππ
