Facebook has just reminded me, that one year ago today, the little boss went to school for the first time.
One year ago, when she still looked like a baby.
Aye, little one. π
She's grown so much in the past one year.
Her speech, articulation and the clarity of thought (though sometimes, it's toddler logicπ).
That's her at a show and tell: "My favourite vehicle".
Her gross and fine motor skills, and how she's learned to do things on her own.
Putting on pants, socks, shoes on her own, helping to pack and unpack her school bags.
Learning to share and interact with her friends.
We bought biscuits from Korea for her to share with her teachers and friends. π
Making friends whom she talks about even after she comes home.
(Although Daddy was like, Who is this boy huh!? π)
Developing her love for books and listening to stories.
That's her making a bookmark during her school's reading week.
Learning to solve problems on her own.
And most importantly, having fun while learning new things.
While there are some mornings when it gets difficult trying to get her ready for school, and some morning when she has separation anxiety at drop-off, she's mostly a brave little trooper, our dear little girl.
These days she says to us, "I will see Daddy and Mummy tonight. Yes?" before waving us goodbye and walking into the classroom.
Sometimes she looks like she's trying not to cry, sometimes she says it happily.
But most of the time, she comes home from school chatty and happy.
I hope she continues to learn, to grow, and to have fun while she's at it.
Hahaha here's our little trooper greeting me happily after coming home from school today.
She chose and packed her outfit with our helper last night.. and hence. π
Wearing a body full of stripes is actually OK.. but a top with black stripes and pants with blue stripes? Hmm. ππ€£
Maybe I should have QC-ed but I guess I wouldn't.
Only because she told me, so happily and proudly, "Mummy, last night I chose this T-shirt on my own!"
