This morning, as usual, I heard the pitter-patter of the little one's footsteps before the door to our room opened.

"Mummy, I want to drink milk on your bed beside you," she announced.

I checked the clock.
6.45am.
Her usual timing.

We spent the next hour playing random stuff on the bed.

She'd make Daddy pretend he was having a bad dream, and go forward to hug and console him. πŸ˜‚

At one point, Daddy was holding my hand and she protested.

"Hey Daddy you cannot hold Mummy's hand," she said.

She proceeded to lock both my hands into hers, and snuggled close to me.

At another point, Daddy moved closer to give me a hug, and she protested again.

"Hey there is no space for me!" She declared, and immediately moved herself to lie down between the two of us.

"Mummy and I sleep here! Daddy you sleep there!" She instructed.
Hahaha so Daddy went back to his usual spot, and fell asleep again.

I continued chit chatting with her, and we took our time to get up and get ready.

Decided to go for breakfast and head straight to Ah-gong's place.

Super #yolo, we didn't prepare her lunch like we'd usually do. πŸ˜‚

Spent some time with some cars.

And then she saw.. Waffles!

"Mummy, look! My window is raining already!" She said to me before going back to munch on her waffle.

I laughed. The window can't rain; the rain is falling on your window.

She finished 3/4 of the waffle by the time we reached.

So we decided not to buy lunch.

Ah-ma was having mee tai mak soup for lunch, and she took out a portion for the hubs before she started.

I don't know what mee tai mak is called in English, so I causally asked the little one, "Clarissa, do you want to eat some rat's tail?"

Rat's tail, because 老鼠粉. πŸ˜‚

She shook her head, "No, I don't want."

"Why," I asked her.

Later the rat no more tail!

She said, matter of fact.

But guess what?
We asked her to try one, and she ended up slurping up the entire small bowl of mee tai mak and soup.

One more item to her menu!

Finally able to wear the swimming costume her Da-yi and Ah-ah bought for her birthday last year.

Still loose fitting though.

But didn't drop halfway during class. πŸ˜‚

One with Daddy! 😁
