Someone's going for reservist and someone's going for Hari Raya celebration in school.
She woke up at 5 plus, came into our room to drink milk and fortunately managed to sleep for another 45 minutes.
It took some persuasion to put her into this dress.
Recycling her CNY dress.
I've got a pretty obliging model this morning. π
Took the cab with her and our helper to drop her off in school.
I wasn't planning to go up, because usually cab drivers hate waiting.
But the little one kept asking me so I said I'll ask the uncle if he's ok to wait.
And she told me, "Uncle says yes!"
Even before we got into the cab. π
So I asked and he didn't seem too grumpy about it.
Went up to the school with her and she was happy.
See you tonight darling. π
Me time lunch time
An early and quick one at my usual spot at Killiney.
Gonna head out later for physiotherapy appointment and zoom back into office for a meeting with the VP.
Hope I make it on time.
And thank goodness for the $8 off Grab rides promotion this week!
Up to 4 rides a day and I'm really maximising it today. π
I've managed to clear all my emails this morning. My brain's not fully functioning yet but I really need to start on my to-dos for this week.
All of which requires a lot of thinking and writing. πͺ
I'm already looking forward to going home later to my bubs and my bed. π ππ€£
Not quite my day today.
1. I got to the physiotherapist clinic 5 minutes before the appointment time but my session started 10 minutes late because of the lift that was seriously way too slow. Apparently her previous appointment was late too because of the lift wtf Shaw Centre!
2. We only had 20 minutes and although she said we could make up for it in the next appointment, I really hope she'd remember her promise. Only had time to work on one side – my right side which is more problematic.
So now I'm feeling quite unbalanced because my right side feels more mobile than my left.
3. I rushed back to office in a Grab taxi and forgot to use the promo code! I could have paid $3 instead of $11.
4. And my meeting did not happen because the previous topics seriously overran.
5. Bumped into my boss on my way out and he casually asked if I wasn't aware of a 7-9pm video conference tonight. I completely missed it!
I said sorry I didn't know and my husband's out on reservist so I need to be home.
My most understanding boss seemed ok with the reason but so paiseh lah.
But the good news today?
I finished one of the big to-do items today and managed to leave office just slightly after 6! πͺ
Came home to a cheerful bubs who was just about to finish her dinner.
She ate very well today and declared to our helper, "Hehe I never wait for Yaya to finish!"
Very excitedly, she showed me this kueh she made in school today.
She was so eager to open it!
Turned out that she was more excited about making something else out of the kueh, than the kueh itself.
And yes, she was probably trying to channel Sammi Cheng's eyebrow when she stuck the sticker of a worm above her eyebrow.. in the opposite direction. π
She voluntarily took a cushion and placed it on the floor for me to sit on, because she wanted me to play with her.
πΆ: Mummy, I help you take the cushion. You sit here.
Aww so thoughtful. π
Wai-gong and Ah-ah were here tonight.
Picture taken by Ah-ah who found another worm sticker to balance out her brows. π
When it was time for them to leave, this little girl asked her Ah-ah, "Ah-ah, can you be here?"
Awww.
We told her Ah-ah has to go home, but she will visit her and we can visit her and we can do video calls.
But when we got to the door, she asked me, "Mummy, can Ah-ah stay here?" π’
I said of course Ah-ah can stay with us but she needs to go home.
We played for a little while before getting her changed and calling Daddy.
"I want to be soldier!" She said to Daddy, after we explained to her that Daddy is in camp tonight because he has to be a soldier.
"No lah you too pretty to be soldier," Daddy told her.
"I be pretty soldier!" She was persistent.

We said our good nights and love yous, and the little boss declared that she was going to sleep with Mummy tonight, on our bed. π
True to her word, she brought her barang barang to our room, informed Yaya that she'd be sleeping with Mummy tonight, and made herself comfortable on the spot beside me.
Fell asleep while drinking her milk. π
And so here I am, Dayre-ing in the dark again and loving it.
We still want the hubs and daddy to be home soon though!
