To be fair, I think I slept ok.
The little one was sleeping beside me, and she barely stirred and slept all the way till 7am.
I woke up a few times to shift my body because it was getting numb, but fell back to sleep quite promptly each time.
But that didn't stop me from putting the alarm on snooze. π
I guess sleep is never enough.
The little one slept through the two short alarm rings and even after I finished washing up and painting my face.
I even had three minutes to put on my new earrings.
I used to have 2 piercings on my left ear and 3 on my right. #acthavoc
But it became too cumbersome to keep buying earrings to feed my ears lol.
So I kept only the 2 on my left and just 1 on my right.
The earring that kept coming off was that additional one on my left but I changed all my earrings.
And I actually feel happy!
Even though I know no one would notice it except for me.
(And true enough, no one noticed it.)
I like both pairs of earrings!
The infinity one was love at first sight while the two-tone chained hearts grew on me (also because, 50% off π).
I can't believe I wrote a whole chunk of text about earrings.
Can I tag #dayrebeauty? πππ
I think it's a sign of ageing, preferring the simple and enduring over the complex and trendy, and going for self fulfilment over external validation. π¬

Finally in a cab.
Long, long day.
#yesterdayre
I wanted to write more about the weekend but I was too tired by the time I settled down for the night.
We've had a good weekend!
Hectic as usual, but we've 1) run all the necessary errands, 2) spent time with our family / the little boss' yi-yis and yi-zhang, 3) let the little one have enough fun on both days while having that 2-3 hours of nap and rest.
She had a good dinner last night!
It was a simple fare of fried rice and we gave her more than her usual portion.
She challenged her Yaya to a competition to see who finishes their dinner first.
Not a fair challenge, since Yaya sat down to eat quite some time after the little one started.
Still it was very nice watching her feed herself enthusiastically, claiming that she was going to win the challenge.
She won, of course. π
While eating, she said to Yaya, "Yum! Yaya can you cook this again?"
Yaya said yes of course, when do you want me to cook this again?
And the little boss said, "Tonight!" π
#truelove
The little boss pooped and I whisked her off to wash up and take a shower in our bathroom.
She'd already walked into our room while I was still in her room grabbing the wet wipes and towel.
I accidentally dropped the wet wipes on the floor and it landed with a loud thud while I involuntarily let out an "Ah!"
Immediately, I heard Clarissa running back to her room, asking with a really concerned voice:
Mummy, are you okay?
I picked up the wipes and met her at the entrance of our bedroom.
"Yes yes, Mummy is ok. I dropped the wipes," I explained to her.
The hubs, who was sitting on the bed watching the entire exchange, said to me, quite melodramatically, "Wah! ε¨θΏδΈη¬ι΄οΌζηε°δΊδΈδΈͺε₯½ε©εγ"
(At this moment, I see a good child.)
I laughed.
She's mostly always a good girl what, I said to him.
Aww so sweet. π
I've been shopping with my thumbs/fingers a lot over the weekend!
Uniqlo sale, Mothercare sale, Groceries top up from Redmart, new shoes for Clarissa (and socks for the hubs so I could get free delivery).. and I'm in the midst of deciding what to cart out from Next.
Getting a pair of causal maryjanes for Clarissa and adding other pretty stuff to get free shipping.
Love the clothes and shoes they carry, and they are not expensive!
Recommended by my colleague. π
I didn't buy anything for myself with this massive fingers exercise (already got earrings and shoes) but I feel happy buying things for the hubs and the girls.
Haha shopping is therapeutic.
And i haven't bought anything online or offline for the past few months!
Except for groceries. π
So yeah #buybuybuy.
