I was already awake but lying in bed to rest when the little one who was sleeping beside me started to stir.

I turned to check on her, but she was already making her way down the bed and to the door.

"Clarissa, what are you doing?" I asked her gently. She did not respond.

Instead she opened the door and walked to her room.

Climbed up her bed and started driving. 😂

The back story

She eventually fell asleep at around 950pm on her new bed.

Shortly after, she started coughing, and it sounded quite bad.

I rubbed some oil on her chest and back while she slept.

The coughing became less frequent and less violent but still, she was coughing every few minutes.

I didn't think she was sick, because she didn't cough at all the entire evening.

So I thought it must have been the dust from setting up the bed.

Our helper had swept the floor while I wiped her bed but I guessed it was still dusty and we weren't able to clean up further because someone was so eager to jump onto her bed. 😅

So at 11pm the hubs made the executive decision to carry her out of her bed and into our room.

She protested and cried, "Don't move don't move!" But fortunately she was tired enough to settle down and fall back asleep.

Coughed once or twice, and then she slept very well until 630am.

"See? I'm not coughing," She said to me as she turned the steering wheel.

Lol. I was just so glad she didn't cry when she woke up.

She was telling me last night that she was going to sleep on her new bed and "Mummy sleep alone". 😂

Gonna get our helper to clean up her room thoroughly today!

Hahahaha not quite but almost.

Thankful for the me-time kopi-time before I start work for the day.

I was awake at 5am this morning, which is not too bad considering the past few days.

I think my mind's in an overdrive these days.

Study room arrangement, what to buy, when/what to clean up, when would I get to sleep for 8 hours straight again (answer: no chance), how/where to find the energy to work better, is Clarissa falling sick again (next Wednesday is her class photo shoot), should we go Ikea this weekend or when should we go, when is my next NSday, should I sell some of my bags to make space, but they don't look very new, next week's work calendar sucks..

And more. 😂

I can't wait for the two girls to be able to sleep in the same room, and hopefully everything would be in order (or messier) then.

Oh yeah, that's yet another random thought. 😅

I forgot to mention this, but this girl was a little upset with her Daddy this morning, about last night.

He was playing basketball and wasn't home at her bed time, which was usually the case on most Wednesday nights.

She said she wanted to wait for him to come home to watch her drive the truck so I video called him. But he was driving so we hung up quickly.

While waiting for her milk to be made, I saw her pressing numbers on her palm and making a call on her "hand" phone:

Hello? Why you playing basketball huh?

She frowned a little as she "chatted" on her "hand" phone while pacing up and down the living room. 😂

I didn't think too much about it.
I thought she was just stalling for time because she didn't want to sleep.

But this morning she told her Daddy not to look at her drive the truck. 😂

And then it all clicked.

Our sensitive new age girl. 😆🤣

2020

Finally got to lie down in bed because the hubs managed to knock off earlier than usual and was back by 8.

He finished his dinner and started playing with Clarissa in her room.

It's not a particularly busy day but it was challenging trying to find a comfortable position.

My feet are swelling up, the top part of my tummy is very bloated, I'm a little out of breath, and my back hurts.

I'm supposed to sit with my lower back fully supported against the back of the chair so that I do not strain my hip muscles. But when if I do that, I can't breathe properly because my tummy would block my airway.

I want to sit with my legs raised to alleviate the swelling but I can't because it pushes my tummy further up.

The result is that nothing works. 😂

Still I managed to read to Clarissa, sit in her truck while she drove us to the supermarket and to buy waffles, watch Mama duck swim.

So I don't feel as bad.

Can't wait for Saturday to come!
