Another 2am start today

No crying though.

Apparently she got up quietly and stood beside her Yaya's bed.

Must have made her jump a bit. πŸ˜‚

And then she got Yaya to bring her to our room.

I heard the door open and she came in and up the bed on autopilot.

"Did you sleep well?" I asked her, not knowing the time because my tummy has been blocking my view of clock on the cable set.

She didn't answer, but snuggled close to me instead.

I waited for our helper to come with the milk, but it was taking longer than usual.

So I turned slightly to the side to check the clock.

1:51AM.

Hahaha ok no wonder.

She started tossing and turning all over the bed before she found her sweet spot and fell asleep again.

.. while I wasn't really sure if I slept or not. πŸ˜‚

She woke up at 7am, happy and telling me, "Mummy it's morning time already. You need to get up and wash up!"

Zoomed into the study room to say the same thing to her Daddy.

Not sure why this is happening.

I've always (and have) been spending time with her leh.

I have been coming home slightly later than usual this week, like 7ish instead of 6ish, but after finishing my dinner I always drop everything to spend time with her, whether it is reading or playing or learning the alphabets.

Funny leh. πŸ€”

Hahahahaha my dad sent me this.

He usually drops by around 5-6pm on his off days, and spends time with her / watch TV until I get home.

I don't really know what they do together or talk about but looking at this wefie, I'm sure she always does something goofy or cheeky.

I find this quite funny.

I think she thought my dad was taking photos and I think my dad was trying to take photos.

But it turned out to be a video? πŸ˜‚

Quite a productive work-from-home morning!

Taking a breather now (literally, because a bit out of breath) lying on my side to give my back some relief.

I tried resting my feet on a stool while sitting to allievate the numbing sensation but both feet still feel numb.

What I've been up to – Part II

Continuing where I left off yesterday.

I made the hubs agree to rearrange the study room this weekend. πŸ˜‚

The most important thing on the to-do list in my mind.

The plan is to rearrange the room so we can work out how much space we have, so I can plan in detail what we need to buy from Ikea, and go get them the following weekend.

And then we can start unpacking Clarissa's baby clothes, wash them and pack them into the new drawers.

I'm thinking of getting:

✏ Drawers for the baby
✏ Storage organisers for Clarissa's toys
✏ Some sort of hook or hangers for Clarissa's diaper bags, to be placed in her room. Right now everything is sitting on the sofa πŸ˜’
✏ Liners for the drawers
✏ Extra shelving for the kitchen because our dining table has only 2/3 effective space πŸ˜‚

Also want to clean up the shoe cabinet and throw some of the cushions away.

Half of our sofa space is occupied by cushions and bags. πŸ˜‚

The space in the living room is important because we need to open the play pen again so it's going to be tight.

The least we can do is to make it less messy and cluttered.

Also need to start getting the pump spare parts.

I still have all the pumps but not the parts because they've become sticky and icky so I've disposed them.

To be honest this is the part I dread the most and still have the shivers thinking about. 😭

Now, for the fun and frivolous stuff.

Siblings gift exchange!

Lol I know we have nothing of this sort when we were kids.

Our parents' mentality was probably, oh deal with it. Especially my parents, since there are 5 of us. We all grow up anyway.

But I want to do this so it'd hopefully start the sibling relationship on a positive note. And I really want the two girls to be close.

The hubs think that the bubs' recent 2am episodes are due to jealousy, preempting the baby's arrival.

Actually she has been mostly sweet to Meimei. Besides the kissing and hugging, she'd also attempt to share her food with my tummy? 🀣

She told the helper that next time they can feed and change Meimei together.

But I guess there must still be some sort of anxiety she has?
We must remember that she is still a little girl afterall.

And Scorpios are apparently attention seeking? πŸ˜‚

There is a high chance that both of them would be Scorpios.
Fun times ahead. πŸ˜†

Anyway I've tried asking Clarissa what she wants as a gift from Meimei.

"Meimei wants to give Jiejie Clarissa a present. What do you want?" I have asked her a few times.

"Surprise eggs! With Mickey mouse!" has been a fairly consistent answer.

So how? Should I really just get a basket of eggs? When she already has more than 50? πŸ˜‚

For Meimei, I think it's simpler because the Big Sister book gave us an idea.

The baby in the book has a bunny soft toy, which Clarissa always points out when we read the book.

So she said she wants to get one for Meimei. πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜„

Judging by how attached this Jiejie is to her Mama duck since she was a baby, I guess a bunny would be quite a meaningful gift to Meimei? πŸ€”
