Back to normal today.
I was up at 4plus but the little boss only zoomed in at 645am.
I tried to ask her to go back to sleep after she finished her milk but she sat up and let out a fart.
"Ohh?" I said, referring to the fart.
She looked at me, her eyes wide with mischief:
Hmm? I didn't hear anything!

I didn't say I heard anything ah. ๐๐
Hahaha not much of a video because it was too dark.
But that's her singing her own song at 7am in the morning. ๐
Off for parents-teachers meeting!
She insisted on bringing her bag, which is filled with toys and Mama duck.
While waiting for our turn to see her teachers, she was zooming around her school happily, totally comfortable in the the environment.
She even showed us around. ๐
She was too shy to sit with us while we spoke to her teachers.
So half the time she sat at another table pretending to look out of the classroom with an *ahm-chio* face. ๐
Both her English and Chinese teachers started the discussion with a big smile.
Clarissa is the most well-behaved student in the class.
Y่ๅธ: "ๅฅนๆฏๆไปฌ็ญไธๆไน็ๅญฆ็!"
๐๐๐
๐ฆ: Really ah?!
๐ง: ็็ๅ?
๐ถ: (Hides her face in her hands smiling shyly)
#asianparents
According to her teachers, she is very eager to take part in all the activities and lessons, regardless of whether it's the English and Chinese class.
She'd ask the teachers in English/Chinese what they are going to do, and say "Oh I haven't do this yet!" or "ๆ่ฟๆฒกๆๅ่ฟไธช!"
She is attentive in class, and has never thrown tantrums or quarreled or fought with her friends. If someone snatches her things she'd choose to let the teachers know instead.
She eats well on her own and is not picky about her food. (Why so different at home? ๐)
She is independent and able to make her mattress, and even volunteers to help her friends.
Her Chinese teacher noted that in the previous PTM she was still having some trouble unpacking her bag but she has improved tremendously since then.
I think both of us didn't quite know how to react except to smile / laugh and say "Really? That's good."
And then the hubs turned to look at me and said, "Good job Mummy!"
Aww I actually felt quite proud and almost wanted to tear up. ๐๐

Being #asianparents and coming from my company, we also discussed her opportunity areas.
Her teachers have started toilet training for the kids, by bringing them to the toilet to familiarise them with using the toilet.
Clarissa follows sometimes, even though she doesn't need to pee.
I asked the teachers for some help in this area, because she's not open to it at all at home.
In fact I was trying to tell her how panties are more comfortable than diapers, but she told me diapers are better.
"The diaper is my panties!" She declared. ๐
We also talked about how sensitive she is, how a slightly sterner tone would have her in tears and concluding that someone is not happy with her.
Indeed she's also quite sensitive in school. She'd once stepped on a classmate's toes accidentally, and the classmate was naturally upset with her.
She told her teachers that her classmate was upset with her, and asked for help.
They eventually reconciled and hugged each other.
Her Chinese teacher said it's probably because she seldom makes mistakes and is well-behaved in school. So her teachers (and people in general) find no need to be stern to her.
Perhaps that has made her a "ๆธฉๅฎค้็ๅฐ่ฑ", so whenever someone uses a harsher tone with her, she cannot handle it as well as other kids who are probably used to getting scolded every time they do something wrong.
We need to watch her emotional development and allow her to build up her strength and ability to handle stress.
Her teachers also told us how excited she is about her birthday.
She'd tell them every other day that tomorrow is her birthday. ๐
During one of the recent birthday celebrations in class, they were all sitting down eating cake when one if the kids said to the teacher, "Teacher I want tissue paper!"
She turned to tell that classmate, "You want tissue paper, you go and take lor!" pointing at the box of tissue paper on the next table.
๐๐๐
The hubs had to run some errands after the PTM so we waited in the car.
She kept asking me why Daddy is not carrying her out of the car yet.
I told her Daddy is still busy and asked her to wait.
Suddenly, she said to me in a small, shaky voice, "Nobody sayang me."
I turned to look at her and saw that her eyes were already filled with tears.
"Ok, Mummy sayang you. You don't cry ok?" I tried to console her even though I wanted to laugh.
She pursed her lips into a frown.
"Mummy, can you make me happy again?" She requested.
๐๐๐
So I tried to make a funny face.
"Are you happy now?" I asked her.
"No," she said.
"What would make you happy then?" I asked her.
"You give me tissue paper to wipe my tears," She told me grudgingly.
๐๐๐
How can anyone be so emo and so hilarious at the same time?
Went to my parents' place as usual.
She attempted to skip her nap with the same trick – "I sleep in the car already!". ๐
Still we managed to get her to have lunch and nap.
But she slept for only 1.5 hours and woke up asking, "Is everybody up already? Can we go swimming already?"
She had a lot of fun as usual.
Got even bolder and kept jumping directly into the pool to swim towards her Daddy and swimming back to the wall?
Going through her report book together.
Details tomorrow.
I'm too tired to take pictures of the report.
Cotton on loot arrived!
She tirelessly opened each bag, asking me, "Is this for me? Is this for Meimei?"
I probably bought too much? ๐
Only the swimming costume, 2 singlets and 1 t-shirt can be worn soon.
The rest, probably next year? ๐
I'm not so good at this twinning attempt.
I'm keeping only the 2 blue singlets I bought in size 1 and size 5.
Planning to return the pink top and denim romper meant for Clarissa.
The romper is nice but is slightly off shoulder?
I don't think my samseng would feel comfortable wearing it. ๐
Ok really need to get the room rearranged tomorrow so we can get the storage sorted out!
Bed time.
๐ถ: I want EVERYBODY sleep with me.
๐ง: Ok ok yes, Ma'am.
๐ถ: Hey I'm not Ma'am. Call me Madame~!
