Hello everyone!
Chilling beside me while I have my breakfast. π
Jiejie and Daddy gave her a kiss on her cheek before they left for school and work.
Week 3 milestone: She can turn her head from left to right, but not from right to left.
We are, erm, trying to train her to lie down on her own instead of asking to be carried all the time. π
The delay tactic I've learned is to turn her head to the other side, and she'd be like "Oh, a different view?" and stop crying momentarily. π
It only works up to five times?
After which she'd decide it's enough and start wailing properly. π€£
I need to start locating the old play gym, kangeroo carrier + infant insert and whatnots which the previous helper has chucked away.. somewhere.
The problem is that she does these things without asking and there is no logic in where she keeps the stuff.
When she was still with us there were times where she couldn't remember where she kept the things.
Sigh. Let's hope we find them. π
#PSA – Pupsik!
Tempted to get the Tula Mesh for the lightweight and better ventilation.
The kangeroo (Boba) gets really hot sometimes.
Limited designs left but I'm not a "collector" so I don't really mind.
I have an acquaintance who collects many, many, many Tulas and Jujubes.. And I don't get it. π
But to each her own!

The first thing my mum says to me whenever she calls these days:
"DID YOU EAT MEESUA ALREADY?"
My answer is always yes, because she didn't specify if it's today or yesterday or last week. π
She wants my helper to continue making the red date tea and confinement-ish food after the CL leaves, so that I have 40 days of "θ‘₯".. And all my health and back problems will go away.
I think we'd be too busy adjusting to our new routines with the baby, I'm not keen to ask my helper to do that.
I'm praying hard that she'd take some initiative to at least cook lunch sometimes and help with the baby when I'm pumping or need to take a nap.
Don't need to do extra work like making red date tea?
Even with the CL around now the only time I can nap is in the morning after breakfast and the 10am pump.
After that there's always something happening which makes it impossible for me to nap.
I'm not sure if 28 days or 40 days would make any difference.
I was much more obedient with my previous confinement, but erm my back still gave way. I had 6 mastitis attacks, 4 of which was within 2 months after confinement.
So it's hard for me to be convinced that confinement would solve all my health problems.
I think *sleep* would be a better solution. π
I also need to get a hair cut and have my hair straightened so I don't need to comb my hair. π
I did that in Dec before Christmas during Clarissa's time and I want to try to do the same this time.
I haven't had a hair cut for 6 months? Maybe longer.
This one came home from school, saw her sister and waved to her, "Hello darling!"
Lol.
I laughed and she explained, "Because Meimei is small so I call her darling."

The 6pm (to 8pm) Chaos
One of my biggest fear (and headache) is the 6pm chaos.
The baby would be fussing, helper would be busy in the kitchen, I'd be pumping and the big baby would be refusing to do something I ask her to.
On a good day it becomes better after we settle at least the big baby's dinner.
On a not so good day it stretches all the way to 8pm, and we finish it off with the 9pm witching hour.
This evening I had a preview of what might be happening next week, or in fact, everyday. π π
I was pumping in my room with Clarissa beside me.
The CL was preparing dinner in the kitchen.
The baby was crying, so the helper was attending to her.
And then Clarissa had to poop so she sat on the potty in my room, and pooped.
I was in the middle of my pump cycle when she was done. I asked her to give me 5 minutes to finish up and get changed.. But erm it was obviously too much to ask of a 3 year old with poop that needed to be washed off. π
She even told me very helpfully that it's ok, she will ask Yaya, and walked out of the room butt naked to ask Yaya to come and look at her poop. ππ
So the helper had to put the baby back into the cot and I had to cover myself up so that they can come into my room to use the toilet.
I continued pumping while the baby continued yakking..
And I thought to myself, I'd better get used to this.
Thankfully Clarissa was awesome at dinner tonight.
She really liked the shredded chicken noodles the CL made, and slurped up everything on her own. I thought she was going to leave the chicken behind, but she finished everything and even held up the bowl with both hands to finish the soup/gravy.
At least one of the two girls is behaving so that's already a win. π
Can't imagine how it'd be like next week. Just me and helper with 2 girls, from 4pm to at least 8pm before the hubs gets home.
I told the hubs about the chaos this evening and he asked me, are you sure you don't want to get another nanny for another month?
Haha.
I said no. Because, what about the 3rd month, 4th month and beyond? π
We'd have to start somewhere, anyway.
