7 weeks | Clarissa and friends

My Christmas present.

We were talking about Christmas this morning, that it's a time for her to give presents to her Yi-yis and grandparents.

πŸ‘§: So what do you want for Christmas?

πŸ™Ž: Mickey mouse!

πŸ‘§: (Sings) All I want for Christmas is.. you! (Touches her nose)

πŸ™Ž: (Laughs) All I want for Christmas is.. Mummy!

πŸ‘§: Awww..

πŸ™Ž: I'm going to put Mummy in a box..

πŸ‘§: Wow really..

πŸ™Ž: And give to charity! Like Jessie the cowgirl.

Sigh.

I dragged myself out of bed so early to clean your poop and wash you up.

And now you want to give me to charity?

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

But since you are so sweet to Meimei, ok lah. I'll do it. 🀣

Hahahaha our attempts to get 3 girls into one picture.

Sim and Ken dropped by this morning with their two girls to see the baby!

The girls spent some time playing together before we all went out for lunch.

Haha Clarissa was happily taking toys out for them to play.. and also quite bossy with Raeann. πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

I'm so happy to see Clarissa and Ruth talking to each other.

Finally some interaction!
长倧了.

Even though their conversation went like this:

R1: You want to eat char siew bao?
πŸ™Ž: I don't want.

πŸ™Ž: You want to eat fried rice?
R1: I don't want.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

They seemed to have some kind of competition going on.

Clarissa slurped up almost an entire tube of beetroot juice because Ruth had one too.
She doesn't like to drink juices on any given day. πŸ˜…

So sweet together!

I can't wait for the day when the four girls can play and interact with one another, and us parents can chill and relax in a corner.

(Oops went off to take a nap with the little boss. She slept a glorious 3 hours! πŸ˜†)

After dinner she said to me, "I want to see Auntie S, Uncle K, Ruth Meimei and Raeann Meimei again."

Here's to more playdates!

I hope the girls become good friends.
Can drink bubble tea together like their mummies. 🀣

7 weeks young today!

Picture taken yesterday. πŸ˜…

With Clarissa I diligently updated her weekly progress up to 52 weeks and a little beyond.

Trying to do the same with Allie, but to be honest it's a little hard.

I feel a little bad sometimes that she's not getting my full attention.

She's getting really chubby.

I haven't compared their weights but Clarissa's clothes that were loose fitting at 1-2M old are quite snug on her now.

I'm guessing it's because she's on more formula as compared to her Jie-jie.

Clarissa was fully on expressed breastmilk until 6M but now I can only supply 1/3 of her daily feeds with ebm.

Again, trying not to feel bad about it. But with two kids it's hard to pump every 3-4 hours.

I'm currently doing 5ish hours with some flexibility because I need to prioritise the girls' needs, and also get a slightly longer stretch of sleep.

I'm still constantly worried about block ducts and falling sick.

Her witching hours are still pretty bad. Some days she could fuss from 4pm all the way till 10. But I've learned to appreciate the evenings when she puts up less of a fight.

Sim said she doesn't recall much of the first three months with her girls.

Neither do I, except that it's tough.
I don't remember the details.

This too shall pass.

For now I'm enjoying the little moments where Allie looks up at me whenever I'm carrying, her eyes intense and following my movements.

Sometimes if we are chatting while feeding her, she stops drinking her milk to listen to us. #kaypo πŸ˜‚

She frowns a lot (like her sis) and looks quite grumpy. It's rather amusing but I'm hoping to see her smile more! πŸ˜„

Hahaha #chitchatwithclarissa before bedtime.

I was rearranging her soft toys on the mattress.

πŸ™Ž: I like many people come to my house. But when they go home, I think it's SO boring~!

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I think she meant to say she's bored when our guests go home?

But omg she knows what boring means? πŸ‘πŸ˜…πŸ‘
