Our little welcome party at the airport last night – My FIL and SIL, and me (erm not in the photo lol).
I told the hubs over WhatsApp, after their flight touched down, that his dad and sis are here too with me.
He said it’s the first time in his life his dad is picking him up from the airport. ๐
Aww poor boy. ๐๐
Said he’s never had a welcome party like this before.
Hahahaha the power of Clarissa.
My FIL was so anxious, he was at our place before 5pm. When the flight was scheduled to touch down at 7pm. ๐๐
#mamarazzi
She saw us from afar and was already making funny faces/poses.
Aww come back to Mummy. ๐
She looked so shy walking out of immigration lol.
It lasted about 10 seconds before she could hold it no longer, and ran into my arms for some hugs and kisses. ๐
(Hubs was like, “What about me?” ๐ ๐)
Reunited!
The same cheeky girl with her funny antics.
We had dinner together before heading home. She ate everything on her own, like a big girl.
When we got home, Meimei was already sleeping so we asked her to be quiet and to remove her shoes before entering the house.
As usual, she walked into the study room to greet her Yaya and Meimei.
Meimei was in Yaya’s arms because she stirred a little in her sleep, so she climbed up the bed and started stroking Meimei’s head gently. Meimei woke up and looked at her Jiejie, eyes wide open. ๐ but ๐. ๐
Later on, I bathed Clarissa like I usually do.
“Did you have fun in Taiwan?” I asked her.
“Yes!” She said happily before she added, thoughtfully:
“Mummy, next time you and Meimei come together, then I won’t miss you anymore.”
๐๐๐
At chitchat time, she shared about what made her happy today.
“I’m happy because I went to Taiwan already. That made me happy,” She told us.
The hubs took leave today and jio-ed me for breakfast at chin mee chin.
Hahaha finally.
I wonder if bubs1 felt a little cheated when she realised Daddy was on leave while she went to school.
“Daddy, you are on leave?” She’d asked him. Lol. He tried his best to sound neutral about it, “Yes I’m on leave today.”
But she was ok going to school. ๐
Chin Mee Chin was decent, but not spectacular (skip it if it’s out of the way for you).
The hubs then suggested going for the best carrot cake in Singapore hahaha.
I said ok! Let’s go.
But being responsible adults, we shared a plate lah.
Lol that face.
It was so good.
The carrot cake, I mean.
We came home to bubs2 who’d just woken up from her morning nap.
Dads. ๐
My FIL is very amused by how much Allie looks like her Daddy.
He would carry Allie and pinch her cheeks.
“็็ๅพๅไฝ ็ธ็ธleh!” He would say. And laugh. And pinch her cheeks again.
“็็ๅพๅ็ทๅญฉๅญleh!” He would also say. And laugh. And pinch her cheeks again.
๐๐๐
Allie is now very aware of who’s carrying her etc. But unlike her sister, she wouldn’t cry immediately.
When my FIL carried her yesterday, she turned to look at me with a worried frown on her face. She turned her head away from him to look at me lol, but didn’t cry.
She only cried when I walked away to put something in the room.
๐๐๐
Anyway my FIL said and did the same things he’d usually say and do, very amused, that she looks like her Daddy and looks like a boy.
But yesterday he also said to Allie:
“ไธ่ฆ็ดงๅฆ๏ผๅฏ่ฝไฝ ไปฅๅ่ฟๆฏไผๅๆผไบฎ็ๅฆ!“
Hahahahaha.
(And no, I’m not offended at all? I’m very amused. Obviously my FIL thinks his son is not hensem. ๐ ๐
I told the hubs about it and he said, “wahlao!” Lolol.)
The two lookalikes spent some time together (before the Daddy dozed off zzz).
She happened to be wearing one of the “new” onesies I unpacked for her.
Obviously Daddy was the one who bought this.
#throwback
Jiejie wore this at 7 months old. ๐คฃ
Same expression – “kua simi”, sweet/smiling, excited (not sure what or why though ๐).
Uncanny resemblance?
