School

The situation at 645am this morning (and in fact every morning). 😂

I’m glad to report that this little girl is recovering, though this means she now has more strength to resist medication.

So giving her medicine is difficult whether it’s our helper doing it alone or with me trying to help.

She’s been very clingy and I can’t say I’m not basking in her affection and attention and baby-ness. 😆

It was quite challenging to work from home yesterday and I ended up having to close the study room door.

Though it didn’t prevent her from coming to knock on the door from time to time.

Always eager to be going somewhere (and dragging me along).

Not so interested in colouring.

After she woke up from her nap I worked in the study room while she played outside on her Yaya’s watch.

At 5pm she knocked on my door.

I opened it and she said, “Deh deh!” while pointing at the main door.

Hahahaha so amazing!

I’d almost forgotten the time to pick Clarissa up.

Once Jiejie alighted from the school bus, she let go of my hand and went to hold Jiejie’s hand.

Paw Patrol babysat while I finished up my work.

I think she’s at this phase where she understands us more than we understand her.

I was playing with the girls, pretending it was time to go to school.

“Let’s go to school!” I exclaimed.

Allie immediately sprang up from my lap, walked to their little arm chair behind us, picked up her bag, hung it over her neck, picked up her bunny and marched with it to “school”.

When I announced it was time for tea break, she plucked something (i.e. nothing) from the thin air and put it into her mouth with a satisfied “arrhmm!”

How cute is that!

My little girl in “school”.

Also her doing. 🤦‍♀️

She probably emptied half the box of tissues while I was getting the diffusers up in the girls’ bedrooms.

She was trying to wipe the floor, which had but one drop of water. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

This morning she was following me around the house relentlessly, and kept trying to make me carry her.

She cried when I tried to get her Yaya to carry her instead.

But we really had to leave the house, and Clarissa sensed that it was because Allie wanted to go to school with her. ☺

So she started explaining to Allie why she cannot go to school yet.

“It’s because you don’t know how to talk yet, Allie!” said wise little Jiejie.

“Imagine if teacher asks you, Allie you want to go toilet? And you say, Eh? Teacher won’t understand you!

Or imagine if teacher asks you, Allie you want to wash your hair? And you say, Ah! Teacher still don’t understand what you say!

But when teacher asks me, Clarissa you want to wash your hair? I can say, Yes! Or No!

So next time when you know how to talk, then you go to school together with me ok?”

😆😆😆
